TITLE/DESCRIPTION: Shared Housing - A Unique Solution for Residential Options for Your Loved One With a Disability
By far, the majority of adults with a disability still live at home with their parents and other family caregivers. But the need for shared housing may arise as parents feel there is a strong likelihood that they may eventually become unable to care for their child as they age, whether due to physical or other age-related infirmities.
This webinar with Cynda Green from Texas Parent to Parent will discuss shared housing options as well as how to go about creating it yourself. It is important to determine what’s best for a specific individual while considering that person’s need for support, finances, and preferences, as well as those of their family.
